Physical activity

PE and wellbeing resources

It is possibly more important than ever before to keep your child active at this challenging time. Without the routine of regular physical activity at school, children are at a greater risk of developing poor habits and therefore having a detrimental effect on their physical and mental health. Please find below a selection of online resources that will help you plan with your child the recommended 1 hour of physical activity required every day. Stay healthy!

Yoga, mindfulness and relaxation

Yoga classes are a fun, explorative way for children to develop important skills in a non-competitive environment. Even at a young age, children often feel pressure academically and socially, and sometimes competitive organised sports can only add to the pressure.

Yoga will benefit those children who show greater signs of stress and frustration during the day but really is beneficial to all, giving them coping skills for times when they experience heightened emotions.

GoNoodle

GoNoodle is awesome fun for the whole family! We love it when everyone does our dances, sings our songs, and plays GoNoodle together. It’s a daily ritual in many schools across the U.K. (and many around the world) and we think it’s a super fun thing you can do with your little ones every day too!  Plus, we have another app called “GoNoodle Games” that is an awesome way to get your kids moving in front of the screen.

Just Dance

Just Dance is a great way to get the whole family moving, keeping fit and having fun!
