This year, St. Thomas’ C.E (VA) Primary Academy took part in the ‘Big Pedal 2021 Challenge', competing with schools over the country.

Our school took part in a enormous 2,519  active journeys over a 10-day period, equating to77% of our pupils and parents being active daily.  This meant that the school finished a fantastic 186/574 small primary schools; this equates to the top 33% of small primary school participants in England. In addition to this, St. Thomas C.E (VA) Primary Academy finished 3rd out of all schools in the Staffordshire County Local Authority.

A special congratulations to Year 6 who won the school intra-school competition with 413 total journeys, ahead Year 5 (347 total journeys) and Reception class (A hugely impressive 338 total journeys). For their prize, Year 6 received a fun activity session on the field courtesy of the Port Vale Foundation Trust.
